The Cheetah-640 is the world's fastest InGaAs Infrared camera. It is
a full format high-speed infrared camera fitted with on-board memory and
image processing capabilities for unique high-speed image processing.
The Cheetah-640 is perfectly suited for applications that require high
resolution infrared images at high frame rate operation.
This unit is equipped with a dedicated high-speed InGaAs 640 x 512 pixel
detector array sensitive from 0.9 to 1.7 µm and comes in a 400 and
1700 fps version. Fitted with a single stage thermoelectric cooler it
offers high quality low noise images. The Cheetah-640 allows you to visualize
your specific infrared research application when it's too fast to see.
The camera records images into 16 GByte of internal memory, which allows
for up to 8 seconds of recording at full speed. Interfacing to a PC for
visualisation setup, control and image downloads is done via Gigabit Ethernet
or CameraLink.
The camera is delivered with a graphical user interface Xeneth, which
allows you to easily grab still or dynamic images under optimal performance
conditions. It offers flexibility in setting control parameters such as
integration time, operating temperature, frame rate, saving images in
various formats and executing initial image analysis. Transfer of data
to mainstream text or data processing tools is straight forward, giving
you a wide variety in data treatment capabilities. The software tools
also feature two-point uniformity correction and bad pixel replacement.
Also offered is an SDK for developers that supports C++, VB, Linux and
LabView.
Advantages of the Cheetah-640
include: on-board memory for
high speed sequence capture; crisp motion analysis; flexibility and ease-of-use
and reliable data transfer. Other features include External Trigger Input,
two Gain modes, C-mount for interchangeable lenses and multiple windows
to further increase frame rate to a maximum 360,000 fps.
Applications for the Cheetah-640 camera include:
Research and Development (SWIR range)
Thermal imaging of hot objects (300°C to 800°C range)
High-speed imaging
Medical applications
